## The Test Methods and Experiences of 8 Resistors

1. Fixed Resistor Testing.

A. Connect the two probes(regardless of positive and negative) to the pins of resistors respecially, the actual resistance value will be measured. In order to improve the measurement accuracy, the measured resistance should be based on the size of the nominal value to select the range. 4. Potentiometer Detection.

5. Positive Temperature Coefficient Thermistor (PTC) Detection.

A. Room Temperature Testing (room temperature close to 25 ℃): the two probes touch the two pins PTC thermistors measure the actual resistance, and with the relative ratio of the nominal resistance, the difference between the two is the normal within the ± 2Ω. If the nominal resistance and the resistance of the actual difference is too large, then the performance is bad or damaged.

B. Heating Test: at room temperature, on the basis of the tests are normal, then a second step tests - heat detection, to a heat source (such as electric iron) near the PTC thermistor to its heating, while monitoring the resistance with a multimeter if the value increases with increasing temperature, and if so, that the normal thermal resistance, if resistance did not change, indicating that its performance became inferior and can not be used. Careful not to heat with the PTC thermistor by too close or direct contact with the thermistor in order to prevent their ruined.

6. Negative Temperature Coefficient Thermistor (NTC) Testing.

(1) Measured nominal resistance value Rt NTC thermistor with a multimeter measuring methods and measuring the same way as ordinary fixed resistor, which according to the nominal resistance of NTC thermistor select the appropriate power block can be directly measured actual Rt value. But NTC thermistor is sensitive to temperature, so the test should note the following:
